ABSTRACT
Agent technology is drawing increasing interest in practical applications. Knowledge management is an area where there is a need for technological infrastructure to be developed such that the concept can materialize into an application capable of supporting a wide range of knowledge management criteria. Because certain characteristics of agent technology and knowledge management are similar and in some ways overlap, it is believed that developing a knowledge management system based on agent technology will facilitate the development process and ultimately result in a practical application. The authors have developed such a system by combining agent technology with the philosophical bases of inquiring systems. This paper follows the development of the system from conceptualization to an experimental test. The results of the experiment will be available by the time of the workshop.
